Power BI Developer

Job Description:

Flankraft, a growing business consulting firm, is seeking a talented Power BI Developer to join our remote team. As a Power BI Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing business intelligence solutions using Microsoft Power BI to drive data-driven insights and decision-making.

Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and understand business requirements for reporting and analytics.
2. Design and develop Power BI reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to present complex data in a clear and actionable manner.
3. Build and maintain data models, datasets, and data connections to ensure accuracy and consistency of information.
4. Optimize performance and usability of Power BI solutions through data modeling, query optimization, and performance tuning.
5. Develop and implement data governance and security best practices to protect sensitive information and ensure compliance.
6. Provide training and support to end users on Power BI functionality, best practices, and self-service analytics.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
2. Proven experience as a Power BI Developer or Business Intelligence Analyst, with proficiency in Power BI Desktop, Power Query, DAX, and M language.
3. Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and ETL processes.
4. Experience with SQL Server or other relational database management systems.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
6. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
7. Good communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
